It’s a pity we only stayed only one night at @hiltonwaikoloavillage – it is such a spectacular oceanfront playground and has something for everyone. Mystical natural lava rocks surround the beautiful landscape and the village has boats and even a tram (yes a TRAM!) to take you to your room. Word has it that the design of the village was inspired by the original owners wanting it to be like Disneyland. What sets this place a part is the 4 acre protected ocean-fed lagoon that has its very own white sand beach – teemed with tropical fish and even turtles! Guests (unfortunately not me) can enjoy watersports – from pedal boats to paddle boards, kayaks and snorkelling gear, the lagoon beach shack has almost everything you need for a day of fun on the lagoon. You can also touch, feed, and swim with dolphins in a pristine, ocean-fed, sea sanctuary located here.
